Democracy with it is the definition, means the power of people where the majority rule and the protection of individual and minority rights.
The concepts of freedom, tolerance, and women's freedom rights are strongly associated with democracy. The democracy system which is represented by the western political and social system becomes a criterion for democracy and women's rights.
and also women conditions is criteria for how close or far a society from democracy So if look at the condition of women in Iraq In with the criteria of democracy, we find that the women condition is so terrible as democracy is.
The western societies are characterized as an industrial society which has the economic system where individuals are contributing to production in this regard individuals including women been free economically and independent from others. But in Iraq, as the socio-economic condition is characterized as a traditional feudal and religious conservative where the individual belongs to a group and are owned by others from family, schools, tribes, society, and religion where make women be bound by many restrictions. in this regards the women are owned by males from her family, district, schools, and societies, it means it is males who decide over her activities, destiny, and even behavior The social class has a role in the women's conditions, for example, liberal academics in some way are better than the rest of society, but the general point of view of the whole society still has traditional looking at women.
